Education

In close collaboration with national, regional and local actors ASSA has contributed in different areas related to education such as:

  • Contextualize a training module that helps students stay in school; Build capacities at national and regional levels to address school dropout; Equip schools with tools; strategies and mechanisms to address school dropout
  • Institutionalization of Early Warning System for the school dropout through setting up teachers’ professional networks, supporting their capacity building and developing a monitoring platform with regards to schools’ work in terms of preventing and address students at risk of school dropout.
  • Extracurricular reading: Build capacities of teachers and parents to promote and monitor quality reading among children. Creating pilot schools in the reading area
  • Build capacities of school actors to prevent/reduce school violence; Provide practical tools/mechanism to identify and address school violence cases;
